Risk Management Advisor

Lance Adams is a seasoned commodity trader and risk management advisor with over 15 years of experience in agricultural markets. Raised on a multigenerational farm in Clay Center, KS, Lance developed a deep understanding of the grain industry from an early age.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in economics from Kansas State University in 2009, Lance began his career as a commodity merchandiser at ADM, where he traded grains via rail, barges, and trucks across North America, from Texas to Ohio to Georgia and through export corridors like  the PNW, center gulf, as well as Mexico.

In 2014, Lance joined Producer Ag, where he led the trade group, implementing a value-driven trading philosophy that maximized asset profitability while leveraging a diverse origination network. As Director of Trading, he played a pivotal role in strategic decision making, optimizing risk and enhancing profitability.  When market conditions presented opportunities, such as non-convergence between futures and cash prices, Lance and his team strategically responded by executing high-value trades and infrastructure solutions. One notable example was constructing a 4.6 million bushel wheat bunker on a runway, enabling them to capitalize on a storage arbitrage to capture value for member owners.

In 2025, Lance transitioned to Integral Trading as a Risk Management Advisor, leveraging his expertise to help clients navigate market volatility and develop strategic risk management solutions.

Lance is actively involved in agricultural advocacy, serving in leadership roles within key industry organizations.

Lance and his wife Stephanie have three sons that enjoy spending time outdoors, participating in various activities like football, dirt bikes and go karts, shooting, hunting and fishing. Lance and his family are very involved at their church, where he is an Elder and the director of the T&T boys for the Awana program.
